It’s almost blasphemy when you google “Imagine Lyrics” the first results are by Ariana Grande… however fit she is.
Obviously, I and We expect John Lennon to show.

Though it’s also somewhat contradictive, as John Lennon also had a multi-million house in California and religion is just a pursuit or interest followed with great devotion… meaning he should have just thrown his own ideas and beliefs in the bin.
No, how about we replace religion with Corporations and Banks?

John Lennon was a hypocrite and a socialist that never acted on what he told others to do.
I feel you could’ve dug deeper. The trouble with Lennon, is almost the same as all notable historical figures, people get in their head that they were born fully realised humans and never changed. You learn they were more than you were presented with and that’s all they are.
Imagine you were the same now as you were ten years ago.
Imagine you’re the same at 40, as 20.
Imagine the world is the same when you’re born as when you die.
That’s harder to imagine then no religion.
