Wellbeing Articles
The WC blog has evolved many times and I believe it has now found it’s true form, combining stories of travel with life advice.
Travel Memoirs
A glimpse into my monumental tales. My memories of skills developed, romances, mistakes made and lessons learnt.
My Story
Hey!
I’m Ricky, a young writer from London. I’m travelling the world as often as possible, and this is my blog.
Every blog I read or vlog I listen to, is created after their success, yet they always say the journey was the most exciting experience of their success… so here is my journey – my unwritten timeline.
Why I started The Blog
After ten years of working in London, the financial capital of the world, I found that I wasn’t living true to my values anymore. To make things worse I’d forgotten what my values actually were. I was not proud of the person I’d become.
As a result, I found myself in my deepest state of depression and finally accepted depression was real. Before then I was sceptical of others being depressed and became angry at them for being “lazy”.
I too would be angry at myself when I felt mild depression, not quite understanding the damage I was doing to my soul working and treating people the way I was.
It took several years to become aware, but once I did I was determined to find out what was causing this mental-health deficit. I started researching depression, philosophy, instinct, diet, current political affairs and developing an understanding of other psychological and spiritual knowledge to ascend from the darkness.
I started the blog in 2018 after my first solo backpacking expedition. I signed up to a tour bus around Europe in an attempt to find myself. I now know things don’t quite work like that, but I did grow to a great extent.
Thus, I began writing my adventures and funny stories for people to be inspired and relate to. I also want to pass on my knowledge to others regarding practices which helped me with self-growth and overall health.
The two main sections of my blog are the wellbeing articles & my journal entries.
