As this is the year to achieve greatness and align my goals to happiness, I have been busy setting resolutions.
Although fairly vague, one of those resolutions is to widen my experience and skillsets for working on the move. I have obviously decided upon smaller, achievable targets to meet this vast resolution.
Recently I applied for a hosting/tour guide role. I was successful and took my first visitors, two Aussie blokes around good ol’ London Town. The company offers “personal tours” with local people, who are already submerged in the local culture, to produce an experience not easily provided by a mundane tour guide.
As their experience and spiritual growth flourished, so did mine via gratitude and appreciation. My love for the city was slightly re-ignited, showing them the silver linings of everything a larger city like London has to offer – diversity, opportunity, flexibility, spontaneity.
